Meet my sweet parents (circa 1987).
Last week they celebrated their 26th wedding anniversary! Their marriage is truly an inspiration and I am so blessed to have grown up in a house so full of love. My dad, being the busy bee that he is, asked me to help him make an anniversary gift the day of. Despite the lack of time, we came up with a great idea!
Since it was their 26th anniversary, we decided to use the 26 letters of the alphabet as a template. We paired each letter with a year of their marriage and my dad recounted a special memory that happened each year. After we came up with all the letters, my dad left me to the creative design and…
this is what I came up with!
I really loved the way it turned out! You can’t really tell in this picture, but their bedspread has small light blue stripes throughout, so the blue text and frame of each square accented this detail nicely!
My favorite thing about this wall decoration is that it’s super easy! All you need is some paper, string or ribbon, mini clothes pins, and thumb tacks. In my old room I had a similar display using 4×4 photos instead of letters, which was equally cute! This design is a lot more personalized though, and makes a great gift for an anniversary or a birthday!
I think this last minute gift idea was a success and I hope this post inspires you to do something thoughtful for someone you love!
This is so cute, Emma! 🙂
As is the rest of your blog!
Thanks Joanna! Hope you’re doing well!
